Platform Hardware that’s used Nokia N96 is fully different with Nokia N85 or other Nokia. This new platform Hardware is Nomadics STn8815 STMicroelectronics. Theority, this chip is different with TI OMAP 2520 that’s used by N78 and N81. Nomadics is more economize for battery, gives quality of sound higher, and can processes algoritma of video better.
Multimedia
Interface player of this cell phone is still standard and no many changes of N85 and N78. There is addition button that gives more comfort in operation it. a number of setting can be found in menu of player setting. The quality of audio of this mobile phone is higher, that is prooven it isn’t fail from other Nokia S60.
Camera
Nokia N96 On camera mode or video, volume button is for zoom button. This camera can shuts in many kinds of resolution. Begin of VGA resolution (640×480) till 5MPx (2592×1944). Because N96 has been stocked GPS, so the taken photo will be recorded the coordinate. Ya,that all are caused the attendance of Geotagging feature. If an user isn’t want it, this feature can be non-activated.
Not only for photo, but also video is supported by Geotagging. The highest resolution of video that can be created is VGA (640×480). Video is recorded by speed 30 fps, it os supported Image stabilization Image feature.
Conclution
Altough, it has many feature and highest ability N96, the policy of price that’s very expensive makes this handset is far from the best size. The ability of multimedia is narrower by more focussed of player ability and video recorder, Mobile TV and Music. For design, it just ordinary. Nokia N95 is one level above it.
