Not like its old version Nokia 6600 that looks big in candybar design, this version Nokia 6600 slide is made cute with sliding concept. The style is cooler. But, stainless metal material that covers it, makes its weight heavier. So, between the body and the weight aren’t balance.
One minus in design side, glossy casing in this mobile phone is easy to be dirty. This case is often met on metal glossy casing of mobile phone. Such as, Samsung fashion series and Sony Ericsson.
The mechanism of sliding be determiner the comfortable operation. Fortunately, Nokia has constructed sliding concept to sliding cell phone, includes in Nokia 6600 Slide. So, don’t judge this sliding mobile phone weak. In the top slide, you just find D-pad button, soft key and call/end call. The structure is nice with blue colour hatching. When the slide is sliding, we can find plastic keypad that so smooth if it is pushed.
Screen and Interface
TFT 16,7 million colour with resolution 320×240 pixels (QVGA) and diagonal 2,2 inches make the screen so clear and bright. Not like its old version, Nokia 6600 slide is made of interface Nokia software series 40(S40), not with system opened operation (Symbian). The platform which is used by it only in Java MIDP 2.0 area, as makes optimal feature.
