This is a 12 megapixel DSLR.
The sensor is CMOS not CCD.
Lens magnification factor (15X) is completely irrelevant as you have the ability to change the lens with whatever lens you need.
You can even buy the camera without any lens if you already have Sony Alpha or Minolta Maxxum lenses.
These days a camera manufacturer would be very shortsighted if the released a camera that did NOT work with Windows AND Macintosh computers.
